Sosian Energy has been granted a Geothermal Resource Licence also referred to as the Geothermal Exploration license by Ministry of Energy (MOE). The license offers SEL rights and privileges to enter, explore, drill for extract, develop, dispose of geothermal steam as well as erect, build, operate electricity generation facility within the License area.

The License Area covers an Area of 9.8km2 and is entirely Private Land . The results from the ongoing studies obtained with 20,000 Monte Carlo iterations were plotted and the estimated mean capacity is 56 MWe while the most optimistic plant capacity (P10) is 89MWe. Therefore the resource indicates an optimistic 1st phase of 50-70MW.

The ongoing studies include , 3D-Resistivity Modelling, Geochemistry ,MT/TEM, Gravity Modelling , Structural Mapping ,ESIA for TGH as well as Heatflow and Volumetric Estimation.

The company anticipate to start the drilling of exploration wells in 1st quarter of 2020.
